James Purefoy (The Following, Altered Carbon) has joined Netflix's upcoming dramedy, Sex Education. TVLine has confirmed and shared details on Purefoy's role. Purefoy will appear in several episodes as Remi, the ex-husband of sex therapist Jean (Gillian Anderson) and father of her son, Otis (Asa Butterfield). Filming is currently underway in the U.K.
Sex, relationships and insecurity are intertwined in Sex Education, a new charming coming-of-awkward-age dramedy, debuting globally on Netflix in 2019.
Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield were previously to star in the dramedy as an uninhibited sex therapist and Butterfield plays her son, a socially awkward virgin who sets up an underground sex therapy clinic at his high school.
