Sheridan Pierce and Raúl Castillo (Seven Seconds, Looking, Atypical) have joined the cast of One Day at a Time in recurring roles for its upcoming third season per Deadline.
Sheridan Pierce previously appeared in four episodes of Season 2 as Syd, Elena's girlfriend. Raúl Castillo plays Mateo in the Netflix comedy, a "dad friend of Penelope's (Justina Machado) from school, who turns into something more."
Also, per Gloria Calderón Kellett's Twitter, Nicky Endres has been cast as a veteran and Danny Pino as Penelope's brother.
