One Day at a Time has snagged up some NOICE guest stars for its upcoming third season! Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz (aka Amy & Rosa from Brooklyn Nine-Nine) are slated to guest in the Netflix comedy.
Update: Entertainment Weekly has shared who Melissa Fumero & Stephanie Beatriz will be playing. Both will be playing cousions of Penelope.
EW has confirmed that Fumero and Beatriz are set to guest star in the same episode that also features singer Gloria Estefan, who sings the opening theme. All three play members of the Alvarez family: Fumero plays Estrellita, a cousin Penelope used to be close with, until Lydia and Estrellita’s mom — played by Stefan — developed a rift that hasn’t healed since. Beatriz, meanwhile, plays Pilar, another cousin of Penelope’s, who Elena (Isabella Gomez) believes is gay and wants to help come out to the family.
