Per Hollywood Reporter, April Bowlby is the first cast member announced for DC Universe's "Doom Patrol", reprising her role of Elasti-Woman, who will first bee seen in their upcoming show Titans.
Elasti-Woman (formerly called Elasti-Girl) is described as an actress on the rise, Rita Farr was exposed to a toxic gas that altered her cellular structure. Longing for the days of old, Rita finds a place for herself among the Doom Patrol.
Doom Patrol is described as a reimagining of one of DC's most beloved group of outcast superheroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, who led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The drama picks up after the events of Titans, which is also in the works at DC Universe and produced by Berlanti.
