JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Kevin (Probably) Saves the World) has been cast as the new female lead replacing Ashley Williams whilst Jack Stanton (The Mick) joins as Dan's (Thomas Lennon) son in another recasting. Both actors became available when their shows were canceled. The FOX pilot will reshoot several scenes per Deadline and remains in midseason consideration.
The retooled Dan the Weather pilot will likely be considered alongside two off-cycle comedy pilots Fox will be filming this summer, Bless This Mess, starring Lake Bell, and untitled Rob McElhenney/Rob Rosell.
