HBO is developing an anthology drama series from The Leftovers writers Carly Wray and Lila Byock per Deadline. The project is based on Kristen Roupenian's upcoming short story collection. The duo met whilst working on The Leftovers and bought the book to HBO to develop as a series that puts emphasis on female voices through the writers, directors, and actors.
Written and executive produced by Wray and Byock, You Know You Want This will explore the complex and often dark and funny connections between gender, sex, and power across genres. The project falls under Wray’s overall deal with HBO.
