Riverdale - A Night To Remember - Review

It's time for the musical episode. This week, Riverdale goes all the way into the Glee's mood. Let's summarized what happened.

The episode starts with a rehearsal of Carrie the musical and Cheryl decides that she will play the protagonist and shows her ability to play the lead to who question her ability. After an accident during the rehearsal, Kevin tells the truth to Jughead: someone is threatening him, he is the director of the production, demanding that the role of Carrie be recast, supposedly from the Black Hood.

Kevin surrenders, and Midge takes Cheryl place as Carrie. In the meanwhile, Hiram creates a rift between Archie and Fred. As a consequence of that, tensions arise between them. In fact, Hiram reveals that he bought Archie his first car. Archie reacts violently and puts Ronnie's father to his place.

After being doused in blood, Cheryl confronts her mother and she wants to be emancipated. I literally loved this scene and how much Cheryl is crazy, I missed this side of her. During the performance, something shocking happens: in a set wall Midge is hunged up to the wall with knives. The Black Hood is returning.

A musical episode in a TV show doesn't always work: Riverdale starts with using music and lyrics only during rehearsal and then spreads performances all over the episode. It worked quite well. The episode didn't move forward the storylines so much. I really hated that they let Hal come back home, but I loved the twist at the end. Black Hood is back in town. Will we finally discover who is really behind all these killings?

And you? What do you think of A Night To Remember?
