Cinemax has ordered crime drama "Queen of Thieves" starring Carla Gugino (Wayward Pines, Roadies), SpoilerTV has learned
Queen of Thieves centers on Master thief Daisy "Jett" Kowalski (Gugino), who did her stint in prison & never wants to go back. However, pressured by Charlie Baudelaire, she agrees to do one last job - but insists on working with her former partner, Rufus "Quinn" Quinton. When the operation goes south, & Quinn is killed, Kowalski is left no option but to work for the powerful and nefarious Miljan "The Russian" Bestic.
Sebastian Gutierrez (The Eye, Snakes on a Plane), who is Gugino's long term partner, will write and direct, while Kathy Landsberg (Scream, Looking) will produce.
Per Production Weekly, the show is set to begin production in June in Canada.
