Leslie Jones is embarking on some wish fulfillment.
The Saturday Night Live favorite has booked a guest role on ABC's Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. While the role may seem like stunt casting, it's actually the opposite as Jones has been a fan of the series and has tweeted her admiration and support of the Jason Ritter starrer.
Creators/showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (Agent Carter) wrote the part specifically for Jones and the timing worked out so that she was able to accommodate it before heading to PyeongChang, South Korea, where she will serve as a contributor for NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics. Jones will film the spot Tuesday.
Jones will play Cindy, a fellow celestial being like Yvette (Kimberly HĂ©bert Gregory). When Yvette starts to experience some very human weaknesses, she recruits Cindy as her replacement — though Kevin (Ritter) will quickly learn that Cindy’s approach is a little more … intense.
