Superstition - Through the Looking Glass - Review

In 'Through the Looking Glass' May finds herself in a mirror universe that looks awfully similar to the one Mary Winchester and Lucifer are stuck in in Supernatural.

This was a much needed episode to further along the relationship between Calvin and both, May and their daughter, Garvey. In fact, this was the first episode where we really got to see everyone work together sans Papa Hastings and James, and the chemistry between them all was really strong right off the bat.

Calvin especially has started to come into his own - working tactically to bring May back home, while earning his daughter's trust, or at least more of it.

There was also some quirky humour ala the beginning scene when the Hastings debate over whether to hold a funeral for a vile racist, and then the son who drops by the ceremony only to piss in his urn.

'Through the Looking Glass' was not a stand out episode, but it did its job in building the relationship between Calvin and his ex and daughter, and developing the chemistry between what is left of the Hastings household.

It is sad Syfy does not have any faith in Superstition as the show continues to be a fun alternative to Supernatural over on the CW.

7.5/10
