An end-of-the-year crackdown by police in and around The Deuce sparks Vincent (James Franco) and Bobby (Chris Bauer). Candy (Maggie Gyllenhaal) tries to persuade Harvey (David Krumholtz), her adult-film director, that she can do more than act. Rudy (Michael Rispoli) witnesses a pivotal lower-court ruling on obscenity, and enlists Frankie (James Franco) and Big Mike (Mustafa Shakir) to protect his interests in the peeps. Alston (Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.) tries to convince Sandra (Natalie Paul) that he’s not just a “source.”
