Midnight Lawyer - Legal Drama from Empire Co-Creator in Development at FOX
Fox has given a second script commitment plus penalty to a legal drama from Empire co-creator Danny Strong this season.
Written and executive produced by Manhunt: Unabomber co-executive producer Schenk, Midnight Lawyer is about a lawyer who gets his clients out of trouble they get into after dark. He used to live the NYC after-hours life and now he’s always striving to save people the way he saved himself— but this business comes with temptations. His clients are colorful night owls (often celebrities with paparazzi on their tails), thrill-seeking partiers, and mobsters who will prove time and time again that nothing good happens after 2 AM.

The Nepotist - Comedy from Jimmy Kimmel in Development at FOX
Jimmy Kimmel and his brother Jonathan are developing a multi-camera comedy series at Fox, Variety has learned.
Titled “The Nepotist,” the series would follow Tom Primo, who has had enough of keeping his mother, son, daughter and ex-wife employed. But he’s got too much heart and guilt to fire them. Josh Dixon is the answer to all of Tom’s problems; he’s smart, hard working, kind, and just the guy to supervise the most volatile and least qualified coworkers on Earth.
Jonathan will serve as writer and executive producer. Jimmy will serve as an executive producer. Jimmy’s Meadow Lark Lane Productions will produce in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
