Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Will Reiser are teaming up for a single-camera comedy series in development at ABC, Variety has learned exclusively.
The network has ordered a script with a penalty attached for the project, which follows Steve Strunsky, a 30-year-old liberal and perpetual bachelor from Berkeley. Steve has just moved to a small blue collar town in western Pennsylvania in order to be with his one true love, Grace Fitzgerald. Along with Grace’s father, a reactionary conservative, and her precocious, war obsessed 8-year-old, this colorful family is learning day by day how to build a life together despite their differences.
Reiser created the project and will serve as writer and executive producer. Rogen and Goldberg will executive produce under their Point Grey Pictures Banner, along with Point Grey’s James Weaver. Sony Pictures Television, where Point Grey is set up under an overall deal, will produce.
