The younger-skewing network is teaming with Stranger Things exec producer Shawn Levy to develop drama Epiphany. The project, which has received a script commitment, is described as being in the vein of Stanley Kubrick and Agatha Christie. The drama is a psychological thriller about a group of gifted strangers recruited to a Gilded Age mansion to solve a complex code that lies within the structure's walls.
Spenser Cohen is set to pen the script and exec produce alongside Levy and his 21 Laps banner. Anna Halberg, Cohen's producing partner, will also be credited as an EP. Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of Adaline, The CW's Life Sentence, Lifetime's You) will exec produce and, should the drama move forward, direct the pilot for Warner Bros. Television. Emily Morris will oversee for 21 Laps.
This is the first project set up through Krieger's overall deal with WBTV. The exec producer/director is on a bit of a hot streak, having directed four pilots in a row that all went to series. He next helms Syfy pilot Deadly Class for the Russo brothers.
