FOX is teaming with Ed Weeks and Independence Day: Resurgence duo Nicholas Wright and James A. Woods to develop single-camera comedy Bastards. The project, a co-production between ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox Television, landed at the network with a sizable put-pilot commitment.
The comedy revolves around a philandering game show host who dies and leaves his mansion to his three children — each of whom thought they were an only child. They ultimately decide to live together and form a new unconventional family.
Wright, Woods and Weeks will pen the script. James Griffiths (The Mayor) will exec produce and direct. Andrew Reich (Friends) is set as a supervising producer.
