The SpoilerTV Favourite TV Series Competition 2017 - Day 30 - Semi-Finals
19 Sept 2017
2017 TV Series Competition Brooklyn Nine-Nine Person of Interest Psych ShadowhuntersHey all,
We're down to our last four competitors, and into the final few days of this year's competition. This certainly hasn't gone the way I expected it to, but that only adds to the fun. Let's see who will be duking it out.
Only four shows have previously reached the semi-finals on debut in this competition (2010 excepted, given that all shows were on debut). And yet this year we have three more to add to that collection. It's a remarkable feat.
The first two of those, Psych and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, have defied expectations to reach this stage. Brooklyn, especially, seemed like it would have gone out by now, given that all four of the shows it has beaten have, at one stage, been in the final of this competition. That's no small achievement, and I'm at something of a loss for words at its success. Psych, leader of the finished shows nomination rankings, has beaten the biggest series in the world, Game of Thrones, and taken down a two-time semi-finalist in Major Crimes. To underestimate either of these two shows at this stage would be a mistake.
Person of Interest now holds the record for most consecutive wins in this competition, at 16. Two more this week would see the CBS series retain its crown for a third straight year, the first in which it has been classified as a finished show. But its opponent, our third debutant, Shadowhunters, isn't exactly going to roll over without a fight. No, it has beaten LOST and Agents of SHIELD in the previous two rounds and it is clearly strong enough to win this thing entirely. The only question is whether it can be stronger than our reigning champion today.
A reminder of the rules:
1) Two shows will go into battle in a poll, where after exactly 24 hours, the leading show will win the battle and will progress into the next round. Each poll will open at 12pm ET on a given day.
2) Vote for your favourite and spread the word with your friends & fans.
3) One vote per person per poll.
4) Comment on what you voted for on in the comments below.
5) Have fun. This is a friendly & competitive competition. Please do not start attacking other fans or fangroups in the comments, because this really isn't what this competition is about.

Don't forget to Facebook, Tweet, and share the poll with your friends! The more people that you get to vote, the better chance your favourites will win!
Another break tomorrow while I let the results come through, but check back on Wednesday for the final!
