Owen has had such a struggle with his own demons and PTSD, how does Megan’s return affect him in that way?
We’ll see in the next few episodes it brings up a lot of stuff, a lot of his own struggle with guilt. He’s struggled with guilt a lot over the years. It all comes back to the loss of his sister and his feelings of responsibility for that, and her arriving back is such a seismic shift for him, that he can finally release that guilt. We’re going to see him go through this cleansing process, in a sense, of his own soul, and his feelings of responsibility. It really shifts a lot for Owen – in many good ways – but also it makes him really look at his life from a bird’s-eye view. His sister, who knows him better than anyone, will help him shine a lot on where his life is headed and where his happiness should be, as only a sibling can, so it’s a really interesting time for the development of the character.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Arizona hooked up with DeLuca’s sister. What fresh drama is that going to create this season?
JESSICA CAPSHAW: In and of itself, that’s the drama, right, because she gets caught red-handed making out with a girl in her living room, which clearly seems like a normal thing to do when you have a roommate, but she obviously must have gotten a different schedule for DeLuca that week. [Laughs] And he comes in and it’s his sister and his roommate, which of course has got to be incredibly awkward. I also think it plays for the comedy of it because DeLuca, he only knows Arizona in a certain way, and all of a sudden there she is.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Now that Jo knows Alex tracked down Paul, how will she feel about that moving forward?
CAMILLA LUDDINGTON: Her initial reaction, which you saw, was that she was really worried about what that meant in terms of her own safety, Alex’s safety, and also what Alex did in the situation, because obviously he could have made things a lot worse. The fact that he chose not to [do anything physical] meant everything to her. It showed her a lot of things. He talks, in that conversation, about how he would never be violent with her. I think his own judgment, in that situation, shows that Alex is thinking twice when he’s making decisions, and that’s all she needed to hear. For her, it means that she still feels safe. She kisses Alex, so obviously there’s some sort of step forward now with them.

April is moving out of Jackson's apartment as he has interest in Maggie. Will he fight for her?
April is moving out of Jackson's apartment because it is causing her pain to continue living with the man she divorced. When she thought she recognized feelings between Jackson and Maggie, she realized that living with a man you still love but are divorced from is maybe not the smartest thing to do. I feel like it's a really beautiful, grown-up move from April. I also think that there were not necessarily feelings between Maggie and Jackson last season! I think her jealousy led her to that conclusion but when she said it, she opened a kind of Pandora's box. I think it will be a lot of fun to see how it all plays out.
