Alec Baldwin, Blythe Danner and Sara Rue Returning

Some familiar faces are returning to Will & Grace. Alec Baldwin, Blythe Danner and Sara Rue will reprise their roles on the current season.

Baldwin will return as Malcolm Widmark, Danner as Marilyn Truman (Will’s mom) and Rue as Joyce (Grace’s sister). Mary McCormack and Robert Klein will also guest star. No episode dates have been announced.

Jennifer Lopez Returning in 2 Different Roles

JenPez is back, baby! Vanity Fair has learned that Jennifer Lopez is set to return to Will & Grace as a guest star this season—but wait, there’s more. This go-around, Lopez will be playing two different characters: in addition to appearing as herself, the multi-hyphenate will also play her Shades of Blue character, detective Harlee Santos.

For those who need a refresher, Lopez appeared in two episodes at the end of Will & Grace’s sixth season, when Karen (Megan Mullally) was getting married to Lyle Finster (John Cleese), as well as the Season 7 premiere. J.Lo, who apparently grew up with Karen’s maid, Rosario (Shelley Morrison), in the Bronx, ended up singing “Waiting for Tonight” at Karen and Lyle’s wedding, while Jack (Sean Hayes) filled in for one of her backup dancers. The guest spot showcased Lopez’s comedic timing and her ease with self-deprecation; “Jennifer Lopez” demanded that everyone around her wear her new Glow fragrance and her branded jeans. Karen and Lyle’s marriage might have ended 20 minutes after it began, but hey—they had a hell of a wedding singer.

Dax Shepard to Guest

Dax Shepard is returning to NBC for one night.

The Parenthood star will guest in an upcoming episode of Will & Grace, EW has learned. No details about his role are known at this time.

Dan Bucatinsky, Matthew Letscher, Andy Favreau & Barry Bostwick to Guest

Dan Bucatinsky, Matthew Letscher and Barry Bostwick, all of whom had memorable arcs on the Shonda Rhimes drama, have been tapped to appear, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Aquarius grad Andy Favreau is also slated for a guest role.

As per usual on the revival, there are no details yet about who they're playing with the exception of Emmy winner Bucatinsky, who is reprising his role as Neil. The actor-writer-producer guest-starred in a season two episode, "The Hospital Show," as a man who goes on an unsuccessful date with Will (Eric McCormack).

Molly Shannon Returning

NBC’s revival of “Will & Grace” has booked Molly Shannon for a guest starring role in the back half of its first season, Variety has learned exclusively.

Shannon will be reprising her role of Val Bassett, which she originated in a 1999 episode of the Peacock’s hit sitcom’s original run. Val was a neighbor of the titular Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) who memorably acted as a replacement best friend for Will when Grace was too busy with work and later went on to stalk Jack after seeing his one-man show. Shannon appeared in five episodes from 1999 to 2004.

Max Greenfield to Guest; Leslie Jordan Returning

Series star Max Greenfield is set to guest-star in an upcoming episode of the NBC revival, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Emmy-nominated actor will appear in the same episode as returning guest and fan-favorite Leslie Jordan, best known for his role as Karen's frenemy Beverley Leslie.

No details are available on Greenfield's role or the episode.

Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells to Guest

Honey, this is major: Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells are guest starring together on the upcoming Will & Grace revival. They join an already stacked roster of cool celebrity guests on the much-anticipated reboot, including Ben Platt, Harry Connick, Jr., Minnie Driver and Bobby Cannavale.

Bobby Cannavale Returning

Bobby Cannavale will reprise his role as doofy cop Vince D’Angelo and ex-boyfriend of Will on NBC’s reboot of Will & Grace.

He first appeared in the sixth season and won an Emmy in the guest star category. Vince and Will (Eric McCormack) had broken up before the flashforward in the season 8 finale, but the flashforward revealed that the two had reunited, gotten married, and had a child.

It’s unclear what Vince’s return means, considering the show has previously said they were setting aside the title characters’ kids and previous partners in this reboot.

Kyle Bornheimer to Guest

Kyle Bornheimer is joining the gang on Will & Grace. He’ll appear in the September 28 premiere episode of the NBC revival as Lenny, a security guard.

Minnie Driver Returning as Karen's Nemesis Lorraine

TVLine has learned exclusively that Minnie Driver — who made six appearances as Karen’s acid-tongued nemesis-turned-stepdaughter Lorraine Finster during the NBC sitcom’s original eight-season run — will reprise her role in the Peacock net’s forthcoming 16-episode revival. Driver is slated to guest-star in one episode, production of which begins this week.
