Josh Stamberg (The Affair, Parenthood) and Rya Kihlstedt (Heroes Reborn, Dexter) have signed on for the forthcoming anthology, Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Kihlstedt will play Cindy Erdlyi, an ex-cop who is now Leslie Abramson’s go-to investigator. She is described as hard-hitting with connections at every level of law enforcement.
Stamberg will play Robert Rand, a non-threatening reporter who has gained access to the Menendez home. He forms a connection with the case. (The role hits close to home for the actor, whose mother is award-winning NPR journalist Susan Stamberg.)
