NBC is developing a new police drama series called “Greenlit” that boasts “This Is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia among its executive producers, Variety has learned exclusively.
“Greenlit” is described as a procedural focused on a highly-skilled task force comprised of five federal agents with backgrounds in the FBI, Secret Service, IRS, and SWAT responsible for protecting members of law enforcement who have been targeted for murder, or “greenlit,” by different criminal organizations.
20th Century Fox Television is producing. Kevin O’Hare wrote the script and will serve as co-executive producer. Ventimiglia will executive produce along with Russ Cundiff under their DiVide Pictures banner, which is set up under an overall deal at 20th TV. Phillip Noyce is attached to direct and will receive an executive producer credit should NBC order the project to pilot. Andrew Lenchewski will also executive produce.
