KILLJOYS, "The Hullen Have Eyes", July 14, 2017, Actors: Hannah John-Kamen, Mayko Nguyen, The Scene: Delle and Aneela plan their revenge at the end
Justyna: We're only on episode three and the battle lines are already being drawn. Hannah John-Kamen is doing a truly exceptional work on the show with both her characters and this week I wanted to highlight her performance and complete transformation into Aneela. Her voice, her gestures, actions... Despite looking exactly like Dutch, it's clear that Aneela is nothing like our main heroine. She's unstable, regal, terrifying. Her reaction when she learns of her father's death proves just how unhinged and out of control she can be. She changes her mood and behavior in a second and, for now, she seems to be rather unstoppable. Delle, who was revealed to be alive and Hullen last time, got to see the dark and twisted side of Aneela and it was a brutal shock, a brand new world when compared to her previous life. She was scared, humiliated, deprived of her power. Yet somehow she pulled herself together, faced Aneela at the end and got a little bit of her strength back. These two together are already planning their next move against Dutch and her team, and after watching the episode I have to admit, I hope they'll be ready when the time comes. Kudos to cast & crew for their work on the show!
ORPHAN BLACK, "Manacled Slim Wrists", July 15, 2017, Actors: Tatiana Maslany, Tom Cullen, The Scene: Crystal lures Sipp to her apartment to confront him
DJRiter: Tatiana Maslany has been brilliant in this amazing show's final season, and I love her quirky clone character Crystal who seems to have a talent for blundering toward the truth. In the latest ep I particularly loved the scene where Crystal lured Sipp to her apartment to confront him about selling his cosmetics company to DYAD. And in her own unique Crystal style got her revenge on him! What made this scene even more fun was learning that Sipp was played by Tatiana Maslany's real-life boyfriend, Tom Cullen. You could tell they had fun filming those scenes!
PREACHER, "Viktor", July 10, 2017, Actors: Dominic Cooper and more, The Scene: Jesse's fight scene set to Uptown Funk
Milo: Until this scene I wasn't convinced that Uptown Funk could ever work as part of a fight scene, but Preacher found a gloriously brilliant way to mash it with the music, making use of some great editing to turn a song that shouldn't work as part of a fight scene into something that worked so well it turned out to be one of the best fight scenes of the entire series so far, and this is Preacher, so that's saying something.
SALVATION, "Pilot", July 12, 2017, Actors: Jennifer Finnigan and more, The Scene: Grace convinces the IT tech to show her the video of the failed rocket test
DJRiter: Grace is quickly becoming my favorite character and this scene just illustrated that she's a very sharp lady. She didn't buy Harris' lie that the test went well but instead of being upset about her lover lying to her, she first went and got proof from the IT guy, and armed with the facts that the situation was worse than she'd been told, made her decision to work with Tanz.

The Scene: The opening sequence
Milo: The opening sequence set to Nina Simone's Feeling Good. I love the song and whilst it was a little obvious choice, the music cue really helped set the tone of the series from the start as we follow Franklin who is looking at all the money he made from one night alone.
SUITS, "Skin in the Game", July 12, 2017, Actors: Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, The Scene: Mike gives Harvey a pep talk
Laura: Wow. What a polarizing episode. This might be the only scene that I could tolerate in this mess, and man, oh man, was it a good moment. I’ve been waiting for a truly good scene from Harvey and Mike since the season 5 finale, and this delivered in spades. Harvey is so overwhelmed at this point, from their old client to Jessica leaving, and now this Louis business. The man just needs a vacation. However, it’s not until Mike prompts him to open up does Harvey finally express what he’s feeling. “I’m not her, Mike. I’m not her.” It’s a beautiful and painful realization for Harvey, that he finally has to take the reigns. And he’s also realizing how much work did Jessica do while she was Managing Partner. Mike’s response is perfect. “You don’t have to be her. You just have to go back to being you.” And then he dropped the show’s second ever f-bomb, which was totally unexpected and quite a bit weird, to be honest. But it fit for the scene, I suppose. I’m just elated that it was Mike who got Harvey not only back on board, but also got him to take a look at himself a bit and to admit what was wrong. If we get scenes like this in the future, I will be fine if the entire rest of the episode is an absolute trainwreck.
THE BOLD TYPE, "O Hell No", July 11, 2017, Actors: Melora Hardin and more, The Scene: Jacqueline's speech
Luana: I could go for so many awesome, hilarious scenes, but for now I'm going with the one that defines this show. Jacqueline talks about wanting the magazine to be an older sister for every girl who doesn't have a female influence in their lives to talk to about sex, she encourages her team to make mistakes, and learn, and enjoy life without letting anybody get in their way, it was inspiring and the perfect way to let us know what we're in for with this amazing new show.
WYNONNA EARP, "Whiskey Lullaby", July 14, 2017, Actors: Melanie Scrofano, Dominique Provost-Chalkley and more, The Scene: Waverly tells Wynonna she's here for her
Samantha: Without a doubt Waverly & Wynonna are my favorite sibling relationship right now. After such a rollercoaster of an episode, it would've been easy to have the end scene wrap everything up in a tight little bun, with Wynonna happy over her pregnancy and Waverly assuring her that everything would be just fine. But it's not and I love the fact they're so realistic about this, with Wynonna rightfully bemoaning the pitfalls of her life and Waverly simply saying that she's here for her & comforting her big sister. Melanie & Dominique just work so well together & give us such beautiful moments that feel so effortless.
Luana: Wynonna and Waverly talk at the end/ Doc says he's all in. This scene was amazing, Melanie Scrofano showed us brilliantly how much pain Wynonna has been in her entire life, and for once it's just too much for her to hide with sarcasm. Her sister comforting her was a beautiful thing to watch, and Wynonna's meltdown when she reads Doc's words was heartbreaking, the pain doesn't go away but she finally has people who will stay by her side no matter what.
YOUNGER, "Forged in Fire", July 12, 2017, Actors: Hilary Duff, Sutton Foster and more
The Scene: Kelsey watches Liza talk to her daughter
Luana: It was about time Kelsey's icy wall melted down, she was hurt but she took it out on Liza way too much, finally seeing what she would do for her daughter, she realized Liza's not the cold manipulating person she was making her out to be.
