The Fosters are returning to our screens and the first episode back resolve most of the cliffhangers from last season but it also shows that everything that has happened will most likely have big ramifications in coming episodes for a lot of our favourite characters.
Back at Anchor Beach, Lena, Mariana and Jude spend most of this episode. Jude and Mariana are fighting for their school to not be turned into a private school while Lena is trying to keep the situation under control, which doesn't look like the easiest thing to do. Some major drama goes down and it's going to be interesting to see what will happen in the upcoming episodes with the school situation.
Emma and Brandon are frantically looking for Jesus who found out about Emma's abortion in the previous episode and what happens in this episode will certainly have a continued impact on the relationship between Brandon and Jesus. I won't give away to much but I will say that one of the most powerful Jesus scenes in this episode involves him and a baseball bat in the Adams-Fosters household.
Callie and Diamond work together in a scene in order to get a hold of a phone and send a message to Stef and I have to say that I was quite impressed with that and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, wondering if Diamond was going to get caught with the phone or not.
There's also some scenes between Gabe and Ana where they are discussing where they fit in when it comes to Jesus and Mariana's world. Some of the comments that Ana made during their conversation honestly pissed me off, but I kind of got over it by the end of the episode since some of my favourite scenes actually did involve both Ana and Gabe. There's one scene between Jesus and Gabe when Jesus is at his breaking point with the Emma and Brandon situation, and then a scene between Mariana and Ana towards the end of the episode. I'll admit that both of these scenes made me tear up.
You don't want to miss this drama-filled episode when it airs on Tuesday, July 11th on Freeform.
Here are some quotes to tide you over:
"Hell no, we won't go"
"Get your hands off my sister"
"I'm sorry that I yelled at you"
"I kind of feel like Jesus needs me, you know"
"I just needed to know that you knew"
"One of these days, you won't be so lucky"
Please comment below what your hopes are for the episode. How will all these events affect the Adams-Foster family in upcoming episodes?
