Ghosted & L.A. to Vegas - Comedies Ordered to Series by FOX

Fox has picked up its first new comedies for the 2017-18 season, giving series orders to L.A. to Vegas and Ghosted.

L.A. to Vegas is an ensemble workplace comedy about a group of underdogs trying to find their place in the world, set in the very specific environment of a Friday night flight from L.A. to Vegas — and the returning flight on Sunday. All characters share the same goal: to come back a winner in the casino of life.

Ed Weeks and Dylan McDermott star in the comedy that counts Gary Sanches Productions' Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Hency has producers. Lon Zimmet (Happy Endings) penned the script. Modern Family's Steve Levitan directed the single-camera pilot and will also serve as EP.

Ghosted has been a hot package from the start. The X-Files spoof boasts two marketable stars in Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott and The Office's Craig Robinson. The comedy centers on a cynical skeptic (Robinson), and a genius "true believer" in the paranormal (Scott), who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.
