Pilot Season (Chris)
Pilot Season by Chris follows the crazy period of pilot season, showing the lives of successful casting and network directors battling to create the next big hit. The main characters are a big-shot showrunner, a head of a big network and two rival casting directors. The craziness also includes stories of struggling actors making their way in television.
Frozen (Drama) (iZombie_Fan)
Twelve people wake up in a room surrounded with ice, each of them marked with a number and a color. A video starts playing, explaining, that they are a part of a psychological game – no more explanation, no rules. After leaving the room, they all realise, that the world looks completely different – different surroundings, glowing trees, mutated animals. And so the questions begin. Is it all part of a game? Did we wake up in the future? Are we all friends or enemies?
Fate (Ivan)
A world where fate isn't just a belief or or an excuse for things happening instead Fates are people who live among us. Centuries ago it was decided the world was far too chaotic to be let run free, so it was decided by the first Fate and last natural Fate to create half-human Fates who decide things for the humans. It was a perfect system, once a half-human Fate reached the age of 21 their powers emerged and they had knowledge of the world.
They make the world better, it was an instinctual feeling they had. If a Fate decided to cause destruction their own body would wither. Now in 2017 the world was the way it should be, less chaotic than it had ever been since the first Fate's time, now a woman named Faith has been declared a new Fate in her 21st birthday. There's a darkness in her life that was thought of as coincidence, this is an unprecedented event in a human Fate, a Fate's life had always been basically out of a sitcom, perfect family life. But with Faith she's had tragedy after tragedy in her life, culmination in her losing her mother. What makes Faith different is that she's a natural Fate, she's not not human, and there's a villain working to destroy her because she can't be killed so he decided to try to turn her. He calls himself Death and wants the chaos that ruled the Earth for eons to return.
Shoot the Messenger (Dot)
Action drama with comedic elements set in a post apocalyptic universe
350 years into the future war has torn earth apart with earth’s population having gone down 80%, society has crumbled, except several heavily populated towns and only a few small settlements are to be found in America. This is where the Messenger comes in, Cameron Freely, follows in his father’s footsteps to deliver messages and to take jobs no one else would due to the danger they pose. The series follows Cameron encountering newly developed cultures, dangerous creatures and odd individuals all while trying to find his father who mysteriously vanished on a job.
The Comedy Block:
That 90s Feeling(Chantal)
Think Dawson's Creek, think 10 things I Hate About You, think Save the last Dance. Think of your favorite late 90's to early 00's movies and tv shows. THAT 90s FEELING is a wink to the innocent movies and tv series from 20 years ago. No vampires, zombies or superhero's, but sweet, innocent love stories, easy going storylines, and a bunch of people who feel like friends to you in the end. THAT 90s FEELING is a feel-good tv show that gives you that happy feeling in your stomach. Not to be mistaken; it's not specifically a teen TV drama. Nor is it a parody! It's just that 90's feeling, brought back onto your screen. Including a catchy intro song.
Ice Cream, Anyone? (iZombie Fan)
How would you feel about having ice cream for breakfast every day? If your answer is yes, EC is the right city for you to live in. Ice cream breakfast has been the tradition of every single EC resident for 8 years now. No matter how hard they try, they simply can’t resist. Once they finish their daily dose, their mood suddenly changes. Is there a connection? The shop owner is the only one, who can answer this question for you.
My Perfect Man (Arianne Binette)
Half hour (dark) comedy - multi cam.
Sammy, the rich daughter of a businessman thinks she just met the man of her dream. He has everything she ever wanted: he has the looks, the intelligence but most importantly the money that she needs to sustain her wealthy life style. Even her very strict and protective family loves him. He seems to know everything about how to please them and her. But there is just one little problem. She’s pretty sure her new man is a demon.

Update: May 15, 2017
In the early stages of SpoilerTV's decision making of 45 drama's pitched, Pilot Season has scored a series order, being the only show to garner unanimous votes by early voters. Three of the first six voters placed it first on their list, two more placing it in their top 4.
Pilot Season, brought to you by Chris, follows the crazy period of pilot season, showing the lives of successful casting and network directors battling to create the next big hit. The main characters are a big-shot showrunner, a head of a big network and two rival casting directors. The craziness also includes stories of struggling actors making their way in television.
Congrats to Chris!
Pilot Season joins last year's winner Marauder's Era, a Harry Potter prequel following the lives of James Potter, Lily Evans, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew and Severus Snape, which just eked out a win last year, and four other series.
Seven more series orders (four dramas, three sitcoms) are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Welcome everyone to the second edition of Pitch Your Idea.
For anyone unfamiliar, PYI imagines SpoilerTV as a network and the SpoilerTV community as potential showrunners. In 2016, we had over 50 pitches and five made the straight-to-series order cut.
We are now looking for five more shows to add to our slate for the 2018 season.
Repeat pitches from last year are encouraged, especially those who received pilot orders. The 2016 winners are also eligible to pitch other ideas and, hey, you can maybe become the next Shonda Rhimes or Greg Berlanti with multiple shows airing.
Last year, sitcoms were shunned by their more popular drama counterparts and this will not go unnoticed. For 2017 the SpoilerTV network will be adding a comedy block of three sitcoms to add to our expanding list of dramas!
For your pitch comment below the tentative title and a SHORT synopsis of 1-4 sentences. You can only pitch ONE drama and ONE comedy.
The deadline is May 12, 2017 at 11:59pm.
So, without further ado. Pitch away!
