Once again, I am here to write that Riverdale has found its own dimension. The seventh episode continues to follow the same path of the latest episodes: interesting characters and juicy plot twists.
In a Lonely Place is focused on Jughead and Betty. The former has to deal with his father. He tries to convince Archie’s dad to give him another chance in order to get his life back together. Fred agrees to have him back but things get complicated: FP is still a hot-head. The police discover suspicious evidence that links Jughead to the murder. Is he the killer? Riverdale loves playing with our mind.
In the meanwhile, Veronica has started a war against her mother. After she forged her signature, she decides to spend as much as she can with her credit card. When she gets her credit card blocked, Ronnie agrees to negotiate with her. Veronica is becoming more and more interesting, but they are given too much space to the same characters. Once again, I’m still curious to have an insight of minor characters as Kevin. Where the heck is Joaquin? They need to find a more appropriate balance in order to let them all shine.
The Polly’s situation is still at the center of the plot. She has run away and now she is hiding. Betty is trying to help her but she discovers that her parents don’t want her to keep the baby, the Blossoms want to have her baby. In the end, Polly ends up in Veronica’s apartment. We are just waiting for her breakdown. I am really enjoying this storyline and Polly just scares me. I can't wait to find out what the writers have in mind.
The ending leaves us with a big question mark: why does F.P. have Jason’s jacket in his house? Let’s the speculation begin. Riverdale is a fun hour you don’t want to miss. What do you think of In a Lonely Place?
