Rivedale - Body Double - Review: "Scary Betty"

Riverdale gets juicer and juicer moving forward. This third week has been the best outing so far. There were plenty of great moments, let's recap Body Double.

Let's go straight to the point: is Cheryl guilty of Jason's murder? No she didn’t kill him but she lied, Jason wanted to fake his own death to escape from Riverdale and then he got killed.

In this week episode the most interesting storyline involved Veronica's date. She goes out with a guy who then puts a sticky maple on their photo on Instagram. It’s a Riverdale high school’s thing that is similar to a slut-shaming situation. She is so angry but she can not do anything except finding an ally. Betty decides to help, and they make a plan. She seduces Chuck and then they oblige him to apologize. Betty loses control: she stars to be violent and she wants to be called Polly. I really enjoyed this storyline. Betty is becoming more and more interesting: she is not just the stereotyped good girl, she can be strong and dark. I can't wait to find out what really happened to Polly and where is she.

Archie's storyline is focused on music. He helps Josie and the Pussycat with a song. His dad asks Mrs Grundy if Archie has talent and she reassures him about that. It was an awkward moment, but I'm really liking him as a father figure.

Stranger Things' Shannon Purser plays a schoolmate, and I'm sure that we all loved her. Barb is back, sort of. Her character is the ambiguos Ethel, I strongly believe she will have a relevant in role in the future.

Jughead finds out a juicy hint: Grundy's car was on the river's edge. I love Sprouse's portrayal of this character. He is an outsider, he is smart and he is charming. The characters are acquiring more distinctive characteristics. Riverdale has found its groove, it is addictive, it has its enjoyable moments and at the end of each episode, I am just raving for more.
