I can’t believe this is the same show that I was sceptical about 4 months ago. It has bloomed into an amazing show that I love… its still not as good as the original!
In this episode we see the team on their first mission with Matty as their boss.. Having the team go after a Most Wanted man to find out he was set up by an FBI agent had my attention through-out the entire episode. I loved the MacGyverism in this episode. I really liked Mac’s thinking on his toes and using electricity to stop a killing, but as we found out in the end scene, Matty doesn’t like Mac’s improvisation. I feel like this may cause some friction between them in later episodes. One thing that I was surprised about is that we actually got to see Bozer do his job!
The team also had to have evaluations in this episode, Riley was first and this scene shows how well Matty can be for the team. She analyses Riley straight away when she doesn’t answer Matty questioning her motive to hack The Pentagon. Next up was Bozer and surprisingly we see Matty laughing and getting on very well with a team member. At the end of the episode we see her and Mac have a talk, as I mentioned above Matty doesn’t like improvisation and instead of firing him, she wants him to prove her wrong, which I’m sure he will. From these scenes you can tell that she already cares about the team and wants them to do well.
We was so close to finding out why Jack and Matty doesn’t get on and I hope we hear that soon as I’m itching to find out!
