The two-time Tony winner has been tapped to star in Katrina, the second season of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story anthology, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Matthew Broderick will star as Federal Emergency Management Agency director Michael D. Brown, who was in charge of the federal disaster response to Hurricane Katrina. Broderick joins four-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening in the anthology from Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions. The second season will tackle Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Murphy repertory players Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr. — all of whom starred in People v. O.J. Simpson — are expected to return for Katrina.
