Peter Gadiot has been cast as the DC Comics character Mister Mxyzptlk for two episodes of Supergirl Season 2, Heroic Hollywood has confirmed. Gadiot is best known for his role as Cyrus on the short-lived ABC series, Once Upon a Time In Wonderland, a spin-off show from Once Upon a Time.
In the comics, the character is a fifth-dimensional imp who is part of Superman’s Rogues gallery and has been portrayed on television before, both in animation and live-action. His most well-known appearance was in Superman: The Animated Series, voiced by Gilbert Gottfried. In his live-action appearances, he appeared in two episodes of Superboy, played by Michael J. Pollard.
