S-I--SICK D-A-DAY once again brought a bunch of laughs and character development to our small screens. The writers used a common cold to bring turmoil into the DiMeo household and sent some of the characters on a deeply personal journey. Let's dig deep into last Wednesday's outing and revisit all the heartwarming moments they delivered.

The cold striking out one DiMeo after another was a great pun and Kenneth's involvement with them added so much funny to it. His interaction with every single DiMeo, except Dylan maybe but they haven't shared much screen time yet, are so enjoyable to watch. Cedric does such a great job adjusting to each character but giving himself enough space to shine. Ray being trapped with Maya in the sick room was another hilarious moment which healed poor Maya and made her regain 100% health.

The episode featured Jimmy taking over Maya's duties and nailing them to a point impressing everyone around him, including himself. I found it really sweet from Jimmy to hide his success so he wouldn't hurt Maya's pride and the respect she has towards her work. Sadly like a boomerang, this one hit him right back as Maya uncovered his lies cause of blabbermouth aka JJ. In a mini raging tantrum, Maya confronted Jimmy and made him reevaluate what he bring to the family. Poor Jimmy was crushed by the realization that besides working he doesn't contribute much to the DiMeo functionality.

After all hell broke loose while Jimmy was in the sick room the family realized the value they have in Jimmy as he is the obvious buffer who keeps the family in order and is probably the reason while no knives were flying around the house. The solutions Jimmy came up with for his fellow DiMeos were hilarious, especially JJ listening to soft jazz, like WTH?

It was nice to see all the family members pitch in with Ray's Moon project. It was a nice side story bringing up some weird laughs during the duration of the episode. But there was still a stronger and more heartwarming story going on during this episode. As Kenneth was out with the cold for a couple of days, Dylan substituted him as JJ's board reader. This quickly went sideways when Dylan fall for a jerk in JJ's class. JJ trying to protect Dylan by pushing her away was so sweet. Also, it was a very nice moment for the two of them when JJ came clean about not being able to beat up guys for her but he'll do everything he can to protect her. I love these small tidbits the writers give to us reflecting on the issues JJ has because of his disabilities but that he still can do everything a regular brother can.

Side Note: Is JJ an acronym for Jimmy Junior? Random thought.
