    Ratings Breakdown:
“The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards” led NBC to Sunday overnight victory, averaging a 13.3 rating/21 share in households in the 56 metered markets. Comparably, this built from the two most recent years by two percent and six percent, respectively. This is the second-highest-rated “Golden Globes” in 10 years in the household overnights, behind only the 14.1 rating in 2014. It scored the highest rating in the time period for any Big 4 network, excluding sports, since last February’s “Academy Awards.” And “The Golden Globes” more than tripled NBC’s average in the time period since last season (excluding sports).

The “Golden Globes” Arrival Special finished third in the 7 p.m. hour with a 4.8/ 8 behind a massive 24.6/38 for the NFL Football overrun on NBC and veteran “60 Minutes” on CBS (#2: 6.1/10).

With lead-in support of this magnitude, Fox’s “The Simpsons” rose to a season-high 7.6/11 in the 8 p.m. half-hour (#2), followed by “Son of Zorn” (#3: 3.4/ 5), “Family Guy” (#3: 2.7/ 4) and “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 2.3/ 4) from 8:30-10 p.m. All individual program results on Fox are estimated due to football.

    On CBS, aforementioned “60 Minutes” led into the regularly scheduled combination of “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#2: 6.5/10), “Madam Secretary” (#2: 6.1/ 9) and “Elementary” (#2: 3.6/ 6) from 8-11 p.m. And last-place ABC featured “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#4: 2.6/ 4), two episodes of “To Tell te Truth” (8 p.m. #4: 2.8/ 4; 9 p.m.: #4: 2.5/ 4) and canceled “Conviction” (#4: 1.8/ 3).
