    Household Rating/Share
    CBS: 4.2/ 7, NBC: 4.1/ 7, Fox: 3.8/ 6, ABC: 3.7/ 6, CW: 0.6/ 1

Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
ABC and CBS each: -12, NBC and Fox: -21 each, CW: -33

    -Ratings Breakdown:
CBS was the top draw in the household overnights on this second Wednesday of 2017, but the variation from first place to fourth place was only 0.5 rating points. Time period filler “Undercover Boss” on CBS finished fourth in the 8 p.m. hour with a 3.6 rating/6 share in households, leading into typical overnight ratings for dramas “Criminal Minds” (#1: 4.7/ 8) and “Code Black” (#2: 4.2/ 7) from 9-11 p.m. Upcoming CBS drama “Doubt” debuts in the Wednesday 10 p.m. hour on Feb. 15.

Next was NBC with its older-skewing combination of dramas “Blindspot” (#4: 3.5/ 6), “Law & Order: SVU” (#3: 4.3/ 7) and “Chicago PD” (#1: 4.5/ 8). Of note for NBC in late night was “The Tonight Show” featuring First Lady Michelle Obama at a 3.0 rating in the household overnights, which was its top Wednesday score in 10 months (since March 2, 2016).

Third overall was Fox care of sure-to-be renewed “Lethal Weapon” (#1: 4.4/ 7 at 8 p.m.), which is one of the few bright spots on the network this season, and recent entry “Star” (#4: 3.3/ 5), which compared to the debut of failed year-ago drama “Second Chance” (3.1/ 5 on 1/13/16) was only up by six percent.

On ABC, recent returnee “The Match Game” (#3: 2.8/ 5 at 10 p.m.) was the weak link, slipping by 26 percent from lead-in “black-ish” (#3: 3.8/ 6 at 9:30 p.m.). Earlier in the evening on ABC was the combination of sitcoms “The Goldbergs” (#1t: 4.4/ 7), “Speechless” (#1t: 3.7/ 6) and “Modern Family” (#1: 5.0/ 8) all at typical overnight levels from 8-9:30 p.m.

The CW capped off the evening with an encore telecast of “The Flash” and a burn-off episode of canceled drama “Frequency” each at a 0.6/ 1.
