Younger - Summer Friday - Review
7 Dec 2016
AL Reviews Younger“This is so not fair!” Kelsey exclaimed at one point during this episode of Younger. I can’t help but agree when I think of the fact there’s only a few episodes left of this season. With another strong episode, Younger is certainly building up the tension for what I believe will be an extraordinary season ending.
As Kelsey and Colin’s personal relationship develops so does their professional one. The only thing is Kelsey’s over enthusiasm leads to the loss of Colin’s book being signed to Empirical. I can’t help but think this is not going to be good for her and her label especially if Charles were to find out that her comments to Entertainment Weekly were the cause of them losing such a big signing. That mistake is most likely going to have even bigger ramifications with Empirical suffering. With the subtle remark about Liza not being the face of Millennial leads me to think something may be lurking in the waters there.
Diana’s new love interest was certainly interesting. Since season one she just can’t seem to catch a break in her love life and it would be great to see things turn around for her. Though I can’t help but think that this guy might not be it. Whether he’s around for the long haul or not it was very amusing to watch Diana try to step out of her comfort zone to put the past behind her. Let's just hope that she doesn’t over commit or at least hope that we'll be witnessing lots of Diana’s quirks as she navigates the new relationship. I’m sure it will be beyond hilarious to watch her move forward with the doctor.
Throughout the episode Josh was being extremely playful with Liza only to reveal that he’s extremely bothered by her past and how he doesn’t believe he can compete with the 22 years of marriage that she has under her belt. This season has shown how serous Josh is about the relationship and how he really envisions a future with Liza. The question I keep asking myself, is how serious is Liza about Josh? I’m no closer to an answer to that question then I was last week. Even after her getting a tattoo that represented their relationship the hourglass on it’s side as a symbol time is still. The expression on Liza’s face at the very end scene seemed as though she was very conflicted. Only a few episodes left this season and things are very intense. I definitely sense something coming to a head. Any predictions about how this season is going to end?
