LU Reviews Sweet/Vicious"You're never going to raise your hand against another woman as long as you live. If you do, I'll know. And it'll be a world of trouble for you and your sick sidekick."
All Eyez On Me
So, this is our last episode of the year, until Sweet/Vicious comes back on January 3rd, and things are getting spicy. I don't know if you guys watched the Midseason Supertease, but after that I need more episodes right away! I'm pumped now, so let's get to it.
This time we get to see a little bit more of the attack, and it's very creepy, it's also more recent than the ones they have investigated so far, since it happened only one week earlier. Rachel got stood up by a blind date at a bar and starts talking over drinks to a cute guy, played by Ashton Moio (Teen Wolf, Twisted). Once she realizes she can barely stand up, she leaves on a Get It, but instead of taking her home, it parks in a dark alley and she blacks out.
Ophelia starts to investigate, the company doesn't have the guys name but it does have a mailing adres, so she goes to his floor and finds out his name thanks to the Resident Assistant, who turns out to be Evan, her one night stand from the pilot. They start making out in a very bizarre way, they're funny but also cute. Later they play video-games and he tells her she could stay but she offers a lame reason and leaves, though she forgets her hat.
Tyler and Jules continue the process of knowing each other, she tells him she used to watch stars with her mom, who's been dead for twelve years now, and he says his mom is not very supportive and he's doubting his major in art, he says he never showed anyone his art. So, she decides to throw him a surprise pop up show in Vinylton, the record store, and Kennedy offers to help since Nate's away with his football team. They have a lot of fun planing it, and Kennedy tells Nate when he comes back that it felt like it did before, she doesn't realize it probably has something to do with him not being around, but he seems to pick up on it and looks like he feels guilty.
Ophelia finds out Landon Mays, the name Evan gave her, is the son of Albert Mays, president of Darlington University. She finds out where he park his car and wants to go get his navigation data but Jules doesn't want to bail on Tyler's pop up show so Ophelia goes on her own. She manages to get the data but she almost gets caught, alone she seems to be reckless and prone to call attention to herself.
Harris is going on with his investigation of the vigilante and he goes to see Barton, the campus cop, in his office to try to look at some files, he refuses at first, but when Harris shares his theory he's on board, apparently he had his suspicions too, even in the faculty wanted him to keep it quiet. So they decide to team up and investigate, to that purpose Barton, played by Greg Worswick, hilariously starts to walk out the door dramatically but Harris just stands there.
Barton: I was trying to do a dramatic exit with you!
Harris: Oh, my bad. Let's do it again.
Barton: No, it's ruined now.
They go ask Tommy about his attack, he doesn't want to say anything but he talks about Ophelia taking the necklace, which makes them both very suspicious. These guys are so funny together, I hope we get to see more of this dynamic duo.
Right before the pop up show, Claire Doyle, one of the girls assaulted by Carter, confronts Tyler and tells him he should make his step-brother come back and face the consequences of his actions. This gets him rattled and he doesn't really enjoy Jules' surprise. But many other things happen at the show too, Evan drops by to give Ophelia her hat back, she says she didn't do it on purpose but he says she has to accept she likes him. Harris asks Ophelia about the necklace but she says she found it on the floor because some guy had stolen it from Jules' gym locker, though Fiona tells him there are no lockers at their gym. Eventually Tyler gets angry about people who criticize or don't understand his art an he leaves in not the best terms.
Afterwards Jules is angry and get in full on vigilante mode, she wants to hit someone as soon as possible. So they make a plan where Ophelia plays the drunk girl and Jules waits for the guy in his usual spot. But apparently, this time the guy picked a different one, and Ophelia has to fight off two guys since they´re actually a team, the other one being the guy who talked to Rachel at the bar. By the time Jules arrives with her pink bike, the guys drive away. They figure out one of them scouted the bar and drugged the girls and the other one was in charge of kidnapping and restraining. Ophelia wants to go get them right away but she's too upset and he hands can't stop shaking so Jules says they can do it the net day.
When Jules comes back to her room Tyler's there to apologize, and he gets cheesy. He set up her room to reflect stars and he says he can't bring her mom back but he can give her the stars. Later at night, Jules is at the fridge when Nate shows up, he says he wants to clear the air, that he heard things were better with Kennedy and he wants things to go back to the way they were before they "cheated", that maybe eventually they can all hang out together again. Jules is unable to speak but she manages to give a small smile and a nod before he laves and she crumples down to the floor.
I wonder if she feels guilty, if she thinks she did something to provoke him or if the fact that Nate thinks they cheated makes it al worse for her. I swear the more Nate said i this scene the more my jaw dropped. I think it's amazing how they release small details that make the story of what happened form in or heads very slowly. I really didn't see this coming but it kinda makes sense, he doesn't act like someone who knows he raped his girlfriend's best friend, maye he was drunk and doesn't remember it quite well, or maybe he's lying to himself. I honestly can't wait for it all to be out in the open.
Over at Ophelia's, Evan drops by with pizza and she invites him to stay over, partly because she likes him and partly because she doesn't want to be alone. Late she can't sleep and she starts crying but he hugs her and they go to sleep. The next morning she hides his hat before he leaves.
That night the girls go after the guys in the parking lot but they put up a fight since they have knives, one of the guys stabs Jules in the leg, she knocks him out but Landon runs off and Ophelia follows him outside, she tackles and threatens him but the psycho smiles and points at the students with their phones filming the whole thing. It looks like we finally have some other recurring baddies, and it could be an interesting step from bringing down a different guy every episode.
What did you guys think of this episode? Do you like the villains? Are you excited to see what comes next?
