CODE BLACK, "Exodus", December 21, 2016, Actors: Boris Kodjoe and more, The Scene: Campbell says he wants his mama back
Luana Arturi: The whole episode he wanted Jesse back, but Campbell wouldn't admit his mistake. Half the time I don't like Campbell, but I guess flaws are the only way we can see true character development, and this guy does nothing but develop, though sometimes he goes a few steps back, I'm hoping there will come a day when he doesn't have to.

GOOD BEHAVIOR, "The Ballad of Little Santino", December 20, 2016, Actors: Juan Diego Botto, Michelle Dockery, The Scene: "I'm not going anywhere"
Luana Arturi: Everything about the tense family dinner and dynamics was incredibly portrayed in the best episode of Good Behavior yet. This show keeps getting better every week, I just can't imagine what we'll get for a season finale. I chose this particular scene, though it was hard to choose just one, mainly because of the acting. After Javier's family wrecks him once again, you can even see the dread in his face when he hears Letty's steps and realizes she was there to witness the whole thing. He tells her to leave and she says she's not going anywhere, because no matter how screwed up they are, the point of their relationship is that they always have each other's backs and try to make each other better. He can't even speak when he's trying to ask Letty why she's willing to stay. Juan Diego Botto keeps surprising us with his talent and his ability to nail each emotion perfectly, when he lifts his shoulders as if he was saying he has nothing to give her, he has nothing at all, it's so heartbreaking. And then, he rest his head on her shoulders, defeated but also, in a way, safe in her arms. I just can't get enough of this show I never thought I'd even like.
NCIS LOS ANGELES, "Tidings We Bring", December 18, 2016, Actors: Daniela Ruah, Renee Felice Smith, The Scene: Nell's gift for Kensi
Justyna K: There were a lot of lovely moments in this week's holiday episode of the show - the Christmas party at the end, all the gifts and new interactions, but the one that got me the most was at the beginning of the hour, when Nell gives Kensi her Christmas gift. It's a Joan of Arc figure and the meaning behind this gift is beautifully done. Nell explains that St. Joan of Arc was her first hero, someone who never gave up and never surrendered, someone who believed deeply till the end. Other than the story, it was also great to hear Nell calling Kensi one of her inspirations, especially when she needs it the most. These two rarely share this kind of moments, so it's even more special when they do. Kudos!
THE AFFAIR, "305", December 18, 2016, Actors: Dominic West, Ruth Wilson
The Scene: Alison and Noah in the bathtub
Luana Arturi: It was good to see another side of their relationship, for once, away from their darkness. But the best part was seeing their different takes on their affair, both re-writing history, in a way.
THE LIBRARIANS, "And the Tears of a Clown", December 18, 2016, Actors: Rebecca Romijn, John Larroquette, The Scene: Jenkins and Eve talk about his choice to go after the team
Justyna K: It was such a brief, yet such a meaningful scene. After all their adventures together Jenkins truly cares about the team and he quietly admits that after Eve confronts him for ignoring her warning. When Eve and the Librarians are caught in a trap, she sends him a message to stay away and stay safe. Eve knows that with everyone else gone or in trouble the team needs Jenkins to fight what's coming, the ultimate battle for the world. And even though Jenkins understands that and knows it's the most logical choice, he still says that there's nothing that could stop him from coming after his friends. I loved the look on Eve's face when she hears him. They've developed such a beautiful bond over the years and it's great to see how they always have each other's back. Jenkins has been in the Library for a long time but it seems that only now, with them, he finally found his true place there. Kudos to cast & crew for another good episode!
VIKINGS, "In the Uncertain Hour Before the Morning", December 21, 2016, Actors: Travis Fimmel, Linus Roache, The Scene: Ragnar and King Ecbert talk about their respective gods
Luana Arturi: Every time these two are on screen together I'm mesmerized, and one of the best things about this show, is the portrayal of the different cultures and beliefs, something that was deeply discussed when Athelstan lived, and now lives on in two people that loved and admired him, a bond that always linked these two great characters. I love Travis Fimmel, though he feels a little bit too much at times, but I feel like Linus Roache is one of the best actors on TV right now, his portrayal of King Ecbert's emotions, and his delivery of the brilliant lines, are always perfect. Though I believe part of his great performance has to do with the way he feeds off of Travis' particular style. I'd love a show where the two went on adventures together.
