Kurt Sutter has his motor running again on FX as the cabler today gave his Sons Of Anarchy spinoff a pilot order with the Lucas Stand author set to direct. Production on the first chapter of Mayans MC is set to start in March with Sutter and co-creator Elgin James as executive producers.
Set in the aftermath of Jax Teller’s death at the end of SOA’s seven season run in 2014, Mayans MC will focus on the struggles of EZ Reyes, a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California/Mexico border. Fans of SOA will remember the Mayans as recurring characters on the series.
