FREEFORM PICKS UP NEW SCRIPTED COMEDY โALONE TOGETHERโ TO SERIES

Freeform continues to grow its roster of original series, by picking up scripted comedy โAlone Togetherโ to series, it was announced today by Karey Burke, executive vice president, Programming and Development, Freeform.
โWe are so proud of this series as it perfectly embodies the evolving Freeform brand and our dedication to programming for the 20-something viewer,โ said Burke. โOur audience will quickly fall in love as we did with real-life best friends Esther and Benji, who navigate a world of perfect 10s as self-proclaimed 6s."
โAlone Together,โ is a half-hour, single-camera comedy starring Esther Povitsky (โLady Dynamite,โ โCrazy Ex-Girlfriendโ) and Benji Aflalo (โNot Safe with Nikki Glaserโ). Esther and Benji are platonic best friends who want nothing more than to be accepted by the vain and status-obsessed culture. Despite their sometimes contentious relationship, when push comes to shove, theyโve got each otherโs backโฆand they have nobody else to hang out with. In addition to Povitsky and Aflalo, the pilot episode features guest stars Chris DโElia (โUndateableโ), Ginger Gonzaga (โWreckedโ), Edgar Blackmon (โPopstar: Never Stop Never Stoppingโ), Hayley Marie Norman (โAdam Ruins Everythingโ), Kamilla Alnes (โAmerican Horror Storyโ), Jim OโHeir (โParks and Recreationโ) and Justine Lupe (โYoungerโ).

Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, Billy Rosenberg and Hunter Covington also serve as executive producers. Daniel Gray Longino (โLady Dynamite,โ โPortlandiaโ) directed the pilot.
