Ash vs Evil Dead - Trapped Inside - Review: "It’s a Nay-No on No-Pablo"

Another really fun episode this week. Baal incites a crowd to keep Ash and the good guys trapped in the Williams’ home, Ruby tries to save Pablo’s life and Kelly fights to protect her crew.

Pablo is becoming the Necronomicon and Ruby, as usual, is perfectly fine with sacrificing him in order to defeat Baal. Luckily Pablo has some people who care enough to watch over him and protect him while he can’t protect himself.

Ash may not be the go to guy for ingenious plans, but he is loyal. When Ruby declares that there would be no more Pablo when it was all over, he put the “Nay-No” on that idea.

Ruby didn’t even have to think very hard to come up with an alternative plan. Not really sure this plan is designed to protect Pablo though. She’s going to speed up the process, find the correct spell and get rid of Baal.

Kelly, the protector, was in fine form in this episode. I’ve been waiting for her to have more to do, and in this episode she really came through. I loved the threats she bellowed out the front window to keep the pitchfork-wielding crowd at bay. (Okay, it was shotguns not pitchforks, but the goal was the same.)

She and Linda fired their guns over the mob until they realized they were running low on ammo. Linda even agreed to man the front of the house by herself while Kelly went to speed up whatever Ruby was doing to save Pablo. I'm really glad we're getting to see more of Linda.

We got one of Kelly’s best motivational speeches since the series began. Again, Ruby sees no real need to look for any solution other than the one that seems to be working. She’s content to let Pablo continue to suffer until she gets the spell she needs. Kelly reminds Pablo that he’s in charge. They don’t need to wait on the spell Pablo needs to find it. It works!

Ash spends the episode fighting a Deadite: the sister he killed 30 years ago. Unfortunately, she kills Chet before Ash tosses her in front of the mob. He proves to the town, once and for all, that Ash doesn’t’ kill people, he kills demons.

Finally the town knows the truth! He gets to enjoy this for only a moment because Baal makes his move. He takes Ashe captive.

I'm looking forward to what happens next. How about you guys? What did you think of the episode?
