Notorious - Missing - Review: How well do we know anyone?

Okay people, Notorious is back on track! After last week's very predictable and cliche-ish episode, this week picked up the pace, with better storytelling and character interactions. The show finally started to dig in Sarah Keating's murder case and the missing parent's side story was filled with drama and amazing guest stars.

Piper Perabo delivered an exceptional performance this week. The small PTSD she experienced was so well portrayed and showed a bigger picture of her character. The guilt was overwhelming and Julia looked tortured. I can't even imagine how it must feel to see a person to commit suicide but I assume it comes close to what Julia was experiencing and showing to us. The way she obsessively scrubbed her stilettos and cried simultaneously was heartbreaking. I liked the support system going on between Julia and Jake and that he knew where to find her, their friendship is a really beautiful thing. Her recovery happened a bit too fast but I'm sure we all would recover that well if we had DA Max Gilford smiling at us.

But before she would let him into her world she had to let him down. She backstabbed him by showing the video Levi sent her last week making his case for Oscar looking misguided. Their face off after the show was powerful and Julia was wearing no gloves.

I put up the video, it is your job to take it down.

Tyrant's Adam Rayner entered the Notorious world as the charming and intriguing DA Max Gilford. The chemistry between him and Julia was on point and it was totally opposite from what we see going on between Julia and Jake, it was captivating, engaging and totally sexual. Besides making googly eyes with Julia, Max started up some trouble between Jake and Oscar. It was time for Oscar to find out about Jake and Sarah's hook up the night before she died but didn't think it would be revealed by Max. Julia is the one to blame, though. Max went rogue after she blindsided him out during his LHL appearance and slipped the pic of Jake and Julia to Oscar. Oscar of course revolted and punched Jake leaving the boys at odds in the final moments of the episode.

But prior to the slap into his face, Jake was delivering some Hero performance again. Jake faced another punch close to home while helping out Jenna Polly. Jenna played by the magnificent Medium alum, Sofia Vassilieva, was in major trouble. Jenna decided to apply for paid surrogacy to cover her student loan and now she found herself 9th months pregnant and the kid's parents missing. Maggie Sherman was mediating between Jenna and the parents and wouldn't reveal the babies parents because of alleged confidentiality. I expected Maggie to be the mother of the kid but was shocked when it was revealed Maggie screwed everyone over, taking 150K more from herself and intending to re-sell the baby. Brenda Strong played a great villain and I'm not sure how she is able to appear on all these shows this season, 4th guest stint so far.

The twists and turns introduced within this case were really good and not predictable at all. Also, Sofia's performance was outstanding from introducing her case over reading the letter and getting into delivery live on Louis Herrick Live. Just wow! I really hope she will get a serious regular role soon.

Today on Louise's Shenanigans: Louise went Cupid this week! Sadly no wings or underwear but a lot of heart and heart arrows. She arranged a date between Julia and Max giving the lovebirds some quality off business time.
