Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron is back at CBS and CBS Studios, teaming with James Patterson for Black Book, a drama series based on Patterson’s upcoming novel of the same name.
Written by Caron, Black Book is about a Chicago detective with amnesia from a near-fatal gunshot who learns he is a murder suspect, but realizes things may not be what they seem when he finds a mysterious black book that contains the secrets of the city. The book is set to be published in 2017 by Little, Brown & Company.
Caron will serve as showrunner and will executive produce Black Book alongside James Patterson Entertainment’s Patterson, Bill Robinson and Leopoldo Gout as well as Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Alex Garter. CBS TV Studios, where JPE has a first-look deal, is the studio.
