Suits - The Hand That Feeds You - Review

Suits surprises again after the season 5 finale, giving closure to a storyline before the audience was waiting for it to happen. Mike getting out was speculated to be the closure to the first part of season 6, but it's done. He's a free man, and there's still one episode left.

After a season of convoluted plans, storylines merging, and some recycled dynamics and the lack of others, The Hand That Feeds You, was a fast paced episode, bringing back a moral compass and moments for the characters to reflect on their past mistakes and what's worth fighting for.

Louis, thanks to Donna doesn't blow up about Tara's boyfriend being in town and gets rewarded in the end.
Jessica and Rachel, after some strained discussions and complications keep fighting to save Leonard Bailey and show him there's a life outside for him to come back. His reunion with his daughter after Jessica says something along the lines that those who care about you have your back, reflecting the whole series' arc. When the people in this show fight together they have a chance, if not, we have season 3 plot as an example. (But the characters seemed to have learned, and the writers team too)

Meanwhile every lose end about Mike getting out, Gallo, Kevin and Cahill, that could have been dragged, is resolved thanks to Cameron Denis, who in a way redeemed himself, by not letting Harvey put everything in the line to save Gallo, someone they knew was a psychopath. Harvey's too focused on saving Mike to see the bigger picture or magic solution to a problem, and those plots that intertwined and came together, pay off.
Cameron makes a deal with Mike, while Mike makes a deal with Cahill to free Kevin too. After making a deposition and ruining Gallo's parole hearing, it seems like Mike's safe. But in a very Suits plot twist, Mike doesn't leave, and Gallo's has his moment of revenge, showing up in his cell with a knife. Mike brings up his inner Chuck Norris and while he defends himself, makes Gallo aware it's a trap and there's a camera filming them.
In the end everything works out, Gallo's imprisonment will go on, the streets are safe and Superboy is back in the clear, also known as, Harvey's there to pick up Mike, with Rachel, they embrace as the raising sun reflects on them, and the camera pans out, the closing credits roll in.

The 'there's still hope' metaphor lasts for a few seconds until the promo for next week is announced.
Before the Midseason break arrives, there's one episode left, and considering how Suits has been handling storylines, next episode will start a new beginning and new conflict, leaving us glued to our couches until the rest of the season comes back in January.

What did you think?

Side Notes
- I'm easy, but the lighting, music and hug at the end might have made me more emotional than I'll  ever accept to be.
- Things I want to see:
Did Mike learn anything after all the things that happened? How he'll behave from now on.
Can Harvey get a break?
Can these characters struggle to get their personal lives in check and be happy with the same passion the fight for their clients and lost causes?
