EXCLUSIVE: British actress Melanie Liburd has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming psychological thriller series Gypsy.

Universal Television and Working Title produce the 10-episode series for Netflix, which is created by writer Lisa Rubin. Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup star while Fifty Shades of Grey filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson has signed on to direct and executive produce the first two episodes. Story follows the life of a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.

Watts also exec produces the series alongside Rubin, Sean Jablonski, who serves as showrunner, Liza Chasin and Working Title’s Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Andrew Stearn.

Up-and-coming actress Liburd recently appeared in HBO’s Game of Thrones, where she played a red priestess and has also had roles in The Grinder, Strike Back, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Dracula. She’ll play a paralegal in Gypsy, which begins filming in New York this month.
