Press Release
STUDIO CITY, CA – September 6 – In “Georgia on my Mind” premiering Sunday, September 18 (9 pm ET/PT, 8C), a surprising newcomer to Chesapeake Shores will drop a
bombshell revelation on the O’Brien family, as Kevin (Brendan Penny) finally returns home to begin his painful recovery. Mick (Treat Williams), Nell (Diane Ladd), Abby (Meghan Ory) and Jess (Laci Mailey) are stunned when beautiful Georgia Eyles (Ali Liebert), a straight-talking ER doctor, arrives at their home, introducing herself as Kevin’s fiancée. They soon learn Georgia has arranged for Kevin to recover in Chesapeake Shores, and she wastes no time taking over as his attentive caretaker. Meanwhile, at the office, Abby is dealt another shock when an investigator from the Department of Justice arrives with questions about possible fraud. As Abby is left anxiously wondering how she’s tied to the case, Bree (Emilie Ullerup) returns home from Chicago carrying a heartbreaking revelation of her own. While Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) considers someday starting over with Abby, he learns the abandoned warehouse property has sold to a surprising new investor. Then, when Megan (Barbara Niven) flies in from New York to be with her son, she is overcome with emotional relief at Kevin’s safe return, despite immediately clashing with Georgia. But Megan can’t help but feel the underlying tension of Georgia’s overbearing presence, and as Georgia forces her to face a cold reality about their mother-son relationship, it seems this whole family still has a lot of healing to do.
Also starring: Andrew Francis (“Connor”) and Brittany Willacy (“Leigh Corley”). “Chesapeake Shores” is a Chesapeake Shores S1 Production in Association with Daniel L. Paulson Entertainment, based on the novels by Sherryl Woods. Dan Paulson, John Tinker, Nancey Silvers, Sherryl Woods and Martin Wood are the executive producers. Co-executive producers are Steve Kennedy and Ben Mallin. Matt Drake is the producer. Directed by Anne Wheeler from a script by John Tinker.
