Thanks to Jovan for the heads up.
NBC has nabbed Big of Me, a half-hour comedy from Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich and producers Will Packer and Eva Longoria. The project hails from Universal TV where Packer’s Will Packer Prods. and Longoria’s UnveliEVAble Entertainment have deals.
Created and written by Iungerich, Big of Me centers on two women from different walks of life who start an unlikely friendship after their mutual husband dies.
Iungerich and Packer executive produce alongside UnbeliEVAble Entertainment’s Longoria and Ben Spector. Will Packer Prods.’ head of TV Korin D. Huggins co-executive produces.
Big of Me reunites Longoria and Parker who also partnered last year to produce a comedy project about two women for NBC, the multi-camera Bonita & Mechelle, written by Kriss Turner Towner. Additionally, Big of Me expands Longoria and UnveliEVAble’s relationship with Iungerich. The company recently sold Iungerich’s feature pitch My Daughter’s Quinceañera to Universal under a first-look pact with a studio.
