This Is Us has found a rather fitting actress to cast a spell on Justin Hartley.
Janet Montgomery, who stars on Salem as (resurrected?) witch Mary Sibley, has signed up for a recurring role on NBC’s new dramedy about people connected by their birthday, EW has learned. Montgomery will play an alluring and intense love interest for sitcom actor Kevin (Justin Hartley). Named Erin Maine, her character is described a talented, tart-tongued theater actress “whose fierce commitment to ‘honesty’ sucks poor Kevin into her darkness.”
Montgomery — whose TV credits include Black Mirror, Downton Abbey, Entourage, Made in Jersey, and Human Target — makes her first appearance in the show’s fourth episode.
Also joining the This Is Us guest roster in recent weeks are: Katey Sagal, who plays Kevin’s agent and Brad Garrett, who plays the president of the network that airs Kevin’s show.
