  • 03:15 - MOVIES: Uncharted - Loses Release Date
Nathan Drake’s first on-screen treasure hunt will have to wait.

Sony has pulled the adaptation of the Uncharted Playstation series from its June 30, 2017 release date, EW has learned. There’s no new date yet.

Bad Boys 3 — aka Bad Boys For Life — director Joe Carnahan was picked last month to write the adaptation of the fruitful and critically acclaimed action-adventure video game for the silver screen. As of now, Carnahan will not pull double duty by sitting in the director’s chair for Uncharted.

Carnahan’s take on the Bad Boys franchise brings back Will Smith and Martin Lawrence to the fold. That movie has had its release date shifted a number of times before settling on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend of 2018.

Director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) was attached to Uncharted and subsequently left in summer 2015.

  • 03:10 - Masters of Sex - Season 4 - Danny Jacobs to Recur; Stephen Root & Romy Rosemont to Guest
Danny Jacobs (Growing Up and Other Lies) has booked a recurring role and Stephen Root (King of the Hill) and Romy Rosemont (Glee) will guest star on the fourth season of Showtime’s drama series Masters Of Sex.

Starring Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson, Masters of Sex Season 4 will begin in 1968, and will take viewers into the “swinging ‘70s” during which time the characters will take on new partners both professionally, personally and sexually.

Jacobs will play Bob Drag. Bob has worked for Little Brown, Masters and Johnson’s publisher for years, but his relationship to Bill and Virginia’s work evolves beyond the editorial when he becomes patient zero in a new study at the clinic. Root and Rosemont, who are married in real-life, will guest star as Harvey and Marcia Toplin, co-owners of a sex clinic and the funhouse mirror image of Masters and Johnson. The Toplins have opened their own sex clinic where they are appropriating Bill and Virginia’s proprietary therapy techniques.

  • 21:30 - MOVIES: Pitch Perfect 3 - Finds New Director
After a search that began in the spring and extended into the summer, Pitch Perfect 3 has landed a director: Trish Sie.

The search was necessitated when Elizabeth Banks, one of the producers of the music-themed franchise, backed out of directing the third installment after making a hit directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2.

Universal and Gold Circle, the companies behind the movies, and the producers then launched an immediate hunt for a replacement. Jason Moore, who directed the first movie, was approached but unavailable, clearing the way for a wide open search.

Sie has only directed one film but it was key to getting the job: Step Up All In, the fifth installment of dance-themed franchise. Sie is also a choreographer and helped conceive and direct hit videos for Ok Go, including the recent viral hit "Upside Down & Inside Out", which was shot in zero gravity as well as the band's breakout video, known as the treadmill video, for the song "Here it Goes Again." (Fun fact: Sie is the brother of Ok Go frontman Damian Kulash.)

Pitch 3 has been taking a bit longer to develop than the filmmakers were planning and the movie was recently moved from a July 21, 2017, release to Dec. 22, 2017. Mike White penned a new draft this part summer.

Friday's fire caused damages of $4 million-plus, according to Czech media. Production on History's U.S.-Czech television series Knightfall will continue at another location in Prague after a fire on Friday heavily damaged a set built at local studio Barrandov.

Producers of the series have yet to decide whether to rebuild the set, while shooting is scheduled to resume at another location in the city, Czech TV network Nova reported.

The area damaged by the fire remains cordoned off while investigators work there, according to the report. Only a small part of the set, representing a medieval city, was saved. The 10-episode drama, which counts Jeremy Renner as an executive producer and a guest star, was ordered to series in January. It is part of the cable network's continued scripted push, following the success of Vikings.

  • 19:25 - 24: Legacy - EP Hints at Role for Mary Lynn Rajskub‘s Chloe
Enough about a possible Jack Bauer cameo. What we really want to know is if 24: Legacy will carve out a few minutes for Chloe?

“We have plans,” executive producer Evan Katz told TVLine in the below video when asked point-blank about Mary Lynn Rajskub‘s beloved tech goddess possibly making an appearance in the forthcoming Fox reboot. “Right now, our clear priority is [establishing] these new characters, and have the audience build a relationship with them. But we have some surprises planned.”

24: Legacy centers on a former Army Ranger (played by The Walking Dead‘s Corey Hawkins) who, upon returning to the U.S., turns to the CTU for help in saving his life. “The premise of the season is based on a real story about the guys who took out Osama bin Laden,” explains fellow EP Manny Coto. “It struck us as a fascinating [introduction] for a character who participated in a huge mission to take out a terrorist leader and then had to go back to his normal life. And then what would happen if [someone] started killing off the members of his team one by one? He’s the one who realizes this and goes on a large quest to find out why this is happening.
