You don’t want to cross Murray Goldberg, but one NBC comedy alum will do just that.
Brian Baumgartner, best known to audiences as the dim-witted Kevin on The Office, has been cast to appear in an episode of ABC’s ‘80s sitcom The Goldbergs in its forthcoming fourth season, EW can exclusively reveal.
Baumgartner will play Larry, a man who matches wits with Murray (Jeff Garlin) in terms of sheer stubbornness. In doing so, Larry gets into a confrontation that results in a certain tragedy involving Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and the Beach Boys.
Better still: The episode, airing this fall, is titled “George! George Glass” and its other storyline finds Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and Adam (Sean Giambrone) taking a cue from The Brady Bunch and “George Glass”-ing their crushes.
