In a competitive situation, ABC has nabbed The Favorite, a single-camera multi-generational comedy from writer Laura Krafft, ABC Studios and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.
The Favorite centers on a woman who comes home for a visit to help her siblings with their aging parents and ends up moving in to care for them full-time. A comedic examination of the tricky but ultimately rewarding relationship between adult children and their parents, one of the rarely discussed best parts of getting older.
