Antoine Fuqua is pushing full steam into television.

Days after scoring a straight-to-series order at AT&T's Audience Network, Fuqua has sold a medical drama to Showtime, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Titled The City, the drama centers on an idealistic young doctor who begins his first day of residency under the supervision of a senior resident who appears tough and brilliant, but turns out to be a cunning and deadly psychopath.

Amy Holden Jones (Mystic Pizza, ABC medical drama Black Box) will pen the script and executive produce alongside 3 Arts' Oly Obst. Former development exec Hayley Schore and Harvard-trained physician Roshan Sethi (CBS medical drama Code Black, Black Box) will co-exec produce as well as co-write the script alongside Holden Jones.

The City started as an original idea with Fuqua, who then brought the project to Holden Jones. He will exec produce alongside Fuqua Films president of TV David Boorstein.
