Glee and Vikings alum Jessalyn Gilsig has joined the cast of Scandal, replacing Joelle Carter as Scott Foley’s bride Vanessa, EW has learned.
While ABC would not confirm the switch, Carter is a series regular on NBC’s Chicago Justice, which is also slated for midseason, where Scandal has now moved.
It’s unclear how often we’ll see Gilsig in the role in season 6, but at the end of season 5, Olivia (Kerry Washington) nearly got Jake to leave Vanessa at the altar until her father Rowan (Joe Morton) threatened to kill him.
